Project Manager

Location & Work Arrangement

• City, State: Dimondale, Michigan
• Work Arrangement: Hybrid Requires 2 days in person per week and 3 days remote.
• Contract: This is a Contract position.
• Mode of Interview: Either In-person or Webcam.

Essential Expertise and Scope of Work

The PM3 will be responsible for the full project lifecycle, leveraging expertise in formal project management, systems integration, and risk mitigation to drive successful outcomes for this major government initiative.

1. ERP and Large-Scale Project Leadership (10+ Years Required)

• ERP Experience: 10 years of experience with Oracle/SAP ERP and Global ERP Project Management (Required). The ideal candidate has experience leading large teams and substantial budgets.
• Technical Integration: Experience overseeing Technical Teams with system architecture and integration across SaaS solutions (5 years required).
• Technical Background: Prior Developer/Senior Technical Project Management experience (5 years required).
• Complexity: Experience providing project management services for IT Projects involving Commercial Off the Shelf Technology (COTS) and managing a multi-vendor environment in a government setting (5 years required).

2. Governance and Methodology (7+ Years Required)

• IT PM Knowledge: 7 years of in-depth knowledge and experience in IT project management, including industry standards and best practices (Required).
• Delivery Track Record: Proven record for delivering projects on time and on budget in a formal project manager role (7 years required).
• State Methodology: Responsible for ensuring the project adheres to the State's SUITE Project Management Methodology (PMM) and System Engineering Methodology (SEM) .
• Deliverables: Responsible for developing and maintaining key SUITE PMM deliverables: Project Charter, Schedule, Budget, Communication Plan, Status Report, Risk and Issue Management Plans, and Change Requests.

3. Control, Risk, and Reporting

• Project Control: Accountable for monitoring, controlling, and communicating project progress by actively managing the cost, schedule, scope, resources, quality, and risks.
• Scheduling: Developed and maintained detailed project integration schedules over 5,000 lines (5 years required). Advanced working knowledge of MS Project (5 years required).
• Tools: Experience using a Project Portfolio Management systems and tools (e.g., Clarity) to manage schedules, budgets, and resources (5 years required).
• Risk & Change: Responsible for facilitating and enforcing the Change Management process (Change Requests). Identify and manage project risk, developing Corrective Action Plans (CAP) for troubled projects.

4. Stakeholder and Vendor Management

• Communication: Possess exceptional communication and follow-up skills, and responsible for clear, timely, and accurate communications with all stakeholders (executives, sponsors, team members).
• Vendor Management: Responsible for reviewing and understanding vendor contracts to actively manage vendor deliverables and adherence to approval procedures.
• Certification: Possession of a Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification is Highly Desired (3 years preferred).
