Description
We are looking for a skilled PC Technician to join our team on a contract basis in Commerce, California. This role involves evaluating and testing electronic equipment, identifying resale potential, and ensuring functionality according to industry standards. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with audio/video equipment, a solid understanding of signal paths, and the ability to work effectively in a warehouse environment.
Responsibilities:
Sort and process electronic items and commodities to identify those with potential resale value.
Assess the resale potential of electronics, including whole units and individual components, using established methods.
Conduct thorough testing and verification of electronic functionality while adhering to R2 standards.
Handle and evaluate audio/video equipment such as soundboards, speakers, lighting systems, turntables, and keyboards.
Apply knowledge of audio/video signal paths and connectivity to ensure proper functionality.
Perform PC technician duties, including troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining computer systems.
Lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds as part of warehouse operations.
Operate effectively in a warehouse environment, ensuring safety and efficiency.
Utilize technical expertise to work with a variety of computer hardware and operating systems, including Linux, Mac, and Windows.
Assist with cable installation and system setup as needed.
Requirements
Minimum of 1 year of experience in PC technician roles.
Proficiency in handling audio/video equipment, including soundboards, speakers, and other related devices.
Solid understanding of audio/video signal paths and connectivity.
Familiarity with computer hardware and systems, including Dell, IBM, Linux, Mac, and Apple devices.
Experience with backup technologies and Active Directory.
Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds.
Comfortable working in a warehouse environment.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail when evaluating electronic items.
