Description

We are looking for a skilled Application Analyst to join our team in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. In this long-term contract role, you will be responsible for supporting and maintaining critical enterprise applications, troubleshooting complex issues, and ensuring optimal performance across systems. This position is ideal for a proactive problem-solver with strong technical expertise and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive support for enterprise applications, including upgrades, vulnerability management, and custom-built solutions.
Diagnose and resolve technical issues across databases, networks, and application infrastructure to minimize operational disruptions.
Utilize advanced database management skills to rewrite complex queries and perform maintenance tasks on systems like SQL Server.
Monitor system health and performance using diagnostic tools such as SolarWinds, ensuring proactive issue identification and resolution.
Manage application environments in cloud platforms like Microsoft Azure DevOps, including deployment and support.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address incidents, prioritize tickets, and meet service-level agreements efficiently.
Follow change management protocols to assess, plan, and implement system changes with minimal impact on business operations.
Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, including system configurations and troubleshooting guides.
Ensure compliance with data security standards and organizational policies in all support activities.
Apply virtualization and containerization technologies, such as VMware, Hyper-V, Docker, and Kubernetes, to optimize application performance.

Requirements

At least 5 years of experience in application support or a related role within a large-scale enterprise environment.
Proficiency in managing databases, including SQL Server, with the ability to rewrite complex queries and perform maintenance.
Strong understanding of network protocols and infrastructure, including TCP/IP, DNS, and firewalls.
Familiarity with cloud computing platforms like Microsoft Azure and tools for managing cloud applications.
Experience with monitoring tools such as SolarWinds for proactive system diagnostics and troubleshooting.
Exceptional communication skills to convey technical concepts effectively to diverse stakeholders.
Demonstrated problem-solving abilities with a focus on identifying root causes and delivering timely solutions.
Commitment to maintaining accurate and up-to-date technical documentation for knowledge sharing and operational efficiency.
