NexusTek s 300 employees span 35+ states to service our growing client base. We have physical offices in Denver, Irvine, and Boston.


Working hours

Our Systems Engineers typically work Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm local time unless specified. On occasion they may be asked to work outside of business hours.

Location requirements

Denver, CO - This position will be mostly remote (work from home) however it will require occasional on-site visits within the Denver metro.

Please note that although this is a hybrid role you must reside within reasonable driving distance within the Denver metro area.

Who you are

Proactive and independent technical expert who performs a variety of tier I and tier II technical support responsibilities, requiring a thorough working knowledge of information technology, basic networking, and infrastructure administration. You are a skilled communicator on all levels and dedicated to providing top-notch customer service. Your meticulous attention to detail is shown through your timekeeping, documentation, and execution of the technical work.

You know how to:

  • Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and accurate daily time entry for billable/utilization hours
  • Work closely with project engineering, client services team, management team, and 3rd party vendors to resolve client s technology issues and define deliverables.
  • Develop detailed project plans, including identifying all major milestones, risks and user impacting events. Projects can range between 5-15 projects ranging in size from 8 hours to over 100 hours.
  • Follow a statement of work (SOW) and complete all tasks within the SOW.
  • Assist with the resolution of service desk tickets as needed.
  • Respond and perform timely and accurate scheduled maintenance and service tasks as defined for individual clients.
  • Provide top tier consultative client support while working closely with the project engineering and management team.

This position requires hands-on expertise and the ability to install, configure, and troubleshoot all or most of the following technologies in a workstation and server environment.

  • Enterprise Networking Components such as:
    • Firewalls: Meraki, SonicWALL, Fortigate
    • L2/L3 Switches: Meraki, HPe Aruba, Uniquity, Fortinet
    • Wireless: Meraki, HPe, Ubiquity, Fortinet
  • Enterprise Server Components for Dell, HPE, and/or Cisco
  • Enterprise Storage Components such as SAN, NAS, DAS for the following vendors: Dell, HPe (MSA, Nimble, and Alletra)
  • Microsoft Systems including, but not limited to, Active Directory 2008- present (deploy, upgrade, and troubleshoot), Exchange, SQL, RDS
  • Enterprise virtualization systems such as VMWare/ESXi and Hyper-V (single and clustered)
  • Peripheral devices including printers and scanners
  • Cloud and virtualization-based technologies, and common client/server applications (e.g. 365, Azure)
  • MSP applications like ConnectWise, LabTech, and IT Glue desirable

Pay and Benefits

This is a full-time position located in the United States and performed remotely with some travel in the Denver metro.

Estimated Starting Salary/Wage Range: $90,000.00 - $125,000.00 annually, less applicable withholdings and deductions, paid on a semi-monthly basis (The actual salary offered may vary based on relevant factors as determined in the Company s discretion, which may include experience, qualifications, tenure [for existing employees] skill set, availability of qualified candidates, geographic location, certifications held, and other criteria deemed pertinent to the particular role. Note that the majority of individuals in the position will fall in the low to mid-level of this scale; the upper end of this pay scale is offered only in exceptional circumstances and/or for unusually qualified candidates.)
