Title: Senior BlueCat Network & DNS Engineer (Infrastructure)
Location: Hybrid New York, NY
Duration: 6+ Month Contract-to-Hire
Interview: Phone and Video (High chance of In-person)
Summary
We are seeking a Senior Network & DNS Engineer to design, implement, and support network infrastructure with a strong focus on DNS architecture and administration using BlueCat technologies. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced financial environment supporting real-time data and trading systems.

Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and support DNS solutions leveraging BlueCat products.
- Configure and maintain DNS zones, records, policies, and profiles.
- Monitor and optimize DNS performance, availability, and scalability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve DNS and network-related incidents.
- Ensure DNS infrastructure security and compliance with standards.
- Document DNS configurations, network topologies, and operational procedures.
- Manage network capacity and infrastructure integration efforts.
- Collaborate with operations teams to resolve issues and propose improvements.
- Participate in 24/7/365 on-call rotation (one week every six weeks).
Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree in a technical field or equivalent work experience.
- 10+ years of Network Engineering experience.
- 3+ years of DNS administration and engineering.
- 2+ years working specifically with BlueCat DNS solutions.
- Experience supporting high-availability trading or financial environments.
- Strong understanding of DNS/DHCP, IPAM, and related network services.
- Familiarity with Linux and Windows administration.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
- BlueCat DNS certifications preferred.
