We are currently hiring an Electrical Estimator. This role may be based in our Scottsdale, AZ or Bedminster, NJ offices, with an option to work remotely within the U.S.
This position is not eligible for VISA sponsorship.

What You Will Do
As an Electrical Estimator at SOLARY ENERGY COMPANY, you will play a key role in developing and maintaining accurate, detailed project estimates that support solar and battery energy storage projects. You will work closely with internal teams to ensure estimates align with project execution strategies and contribute to long-term strategic growth.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Refine and enhance electrical estimating processes, tools, and templates for improved accuracy and efficiency.
  • Develop bottoms-up electrical estimating tools grounded in industry best practices, productivity data, and resource utilization for solar and BESS projects.
  • Maintain a comprehensive database of means and methods, components, and productivity benchmarks.
  • Prepare, refine, and maintain project cost estimates in alignment with RFP requirements for utility-scale solar and battery storage projects.
  • Partner with business development, engineering, procurement, and project delivery teams to build competitive bid strategies and optimize project costs.
  • Identify project risks and support development of mitigation strategies to strengthen estimate reliability.
  • Participate in client meetings, pre-bid discussions, and leadership updates.
  • Conduct site visits as necessary and prepare detailed field reports to improve estimate accuracy and inform project planning.


Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
  • Extensive experience in large commercial electrical, renewable energy, or utility-scale solar construction.
  • Knowledge of cost estimation best practices and tools such as Accubid or InEight (preferred).
  • Proficiency in digital takeoff tools (e.g., Bluebeam) and ability to interpret complex project documentation.
  • Strong understanding of construction management principles and large-scale project complexities.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and refine estimating processes.


What Will Set You Apart
  • Direct experience with utility-scale renewable energy construction.
  • Experience with underground electrical construction at 34.5kV and above.
  • In-depth knowledge of solar and battery energy storage systems.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and cross-functional teamwork skills.
