AI Prompt Engineer

My client is a well-known university in Boston, MA. They have an immediate need for an AI Prompt Engineer to join their IT team. The hire would be on a contract basis. (The contract should last at least a year).

This person will responsible for the design, optimization, and maintenance of prompts for the university's large language model (LLM) applications. This role ensures effective communication, accurate outputs, and consistent user experiences across across service desk automation, administrative assistance, and other AI-driven services.

***Again, this role will be hybrid, on-site in Boston, MA 3 days per week. ***

Required Skills

* LLM Expertise: Deep understanding of large language model capabilities, limitations, and optimal interaction patterns, with demonstrated experience designing effective prompts for enterprise applications.

* Prompt Engineering Skills: Advanced proficiency in crafting, testing, and refining prompts that produce consistent, accurate, and appropriate AI outputs across diverse use cases and user types.

* Natural Language Processing: Strong understanding of NLP concepts and techniques, including context management, semantic analysis, entity recognition, and conversational design.
