Job Details
Role:Senior Red Hat Linux Administrator (RHEL)
Location:Baltimore, MD *** 100% onsite(Need locals to MD,VA,DE,D.C)
Duration:Long Term
*** Selected candidate must reside within two (2) hours of Baltimore, MD *** 100% onsite
Key Required Skills:
RHEL Enterprise Linux 7.x/8.x/9.x Platform Administration, installation, configuration, server patching and upgrading, RHEL Ansible Playbook Development and issue or problem analysis and troubleshooting.
Position Description:
- The Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) Administrator is responsible for providing technical and system administration support through troubleshooting, identifying and addressing issues,
- patching and updating of RHEL servers and assist in deploying or installing software or configurations approved for deployment.
Tasks for this position includes:
- Assist technical leads in implementing systems and software updates
- Deploy RHEL patches and platform updates.
- Experience with AWS Cloud .
- Document processes, procedures and configurations
- Perform daily operations support functions, including problem isolation and resolution
- Provide status updates of task and project updates
- Provide system administration support
- Troubleshoot platform and application issues
- Tasks beyond RHEL Administration tasks and lead efforts in developing new strategies for operational efficiencies
- Work with applications teams and stakeholders as the platform technical lead
- Work with highly experienced and technical resources
- All other duties as assigned or directed
Basic Qualifications:
BS degree and 8+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6+ years of prior relevant experience.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance.
