Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented User Acceptance Tester (UAT Tester) with strong Java programming skills to join our Quality Assurance team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in verifying that developed systems meet user requirements and are ready for production deployment. The role requires hands-on experience in UAT processes, stakeholder communication, and basic to intermediate Java knowledge to support testing activities.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with business analysts, product owners, and end-users to understand business requirements and acceptance criteria.

  • Develop, document, and execute UAT test cases and test scenarios based on functional requirements.

  • Log, track, and report defects found during UAT; work closely with developers to ensure timely resolution.

  • Participate in sprint planning, UAT planning, and test readiness reviews.

  • Use Java for basic test automation tasks, backend data validation, or interaction with APIs/services (depending on project requirements).

  • Validate end-to-end workflows across systems to ensure business processes function as intended.

  • Maintain detailed test documentation and report on UAT status to stakeholders.

  • Assist in the preparation of UAT test environments and test data.

  • Work in Agile/Scrum development environments and participate in daily stand-ups and sprint reviews.


Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • 2 5 years of experience in UAT or QA testing roles.

  • Proficient in writing UAT test cases, test scripts, and using defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Azure DevOps).

  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of Java programming (used for test scripting, API testing, or data validation).

  • Understanding of SDLC, Agile, and QA methodologies.

  • Familiarity with SQL for backend data validation.

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to liaise with business and technical stakeholders.

  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium with Java) is a plus.

  • Exposure to API testing tools like Postman, REST-assured.

  • Experience working in banking, finance, healthcare, or other regulated industries is advantageous.

  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins) is a plus.
