Job Summary:

This exciting opportunity is full-time and permanent with Pellera Technologies. The Director of Data Analytics is directly responsible for the strategy, vision, and monetization of Pellera's reporting capabilities and data assets. The primary responsibility of this position will be executing the day-to-day activities of data platform management including, organizational reporting strategy the development of revenue generating data products and the data & reporting product roadmap.

Essential Functions:
  • Work alongside IT, marketing, training, and client facing staff as well as senior management to align the use of data within business strategies and maintain alignment with organizational data strategy
  • Identify and ensure the resolution of client facing analytics issues, such as uniqueness, integrity, insights, accuracy, consistency, and completeness, in a timely manner
  • Devise, coordinate, and conduct mass data-management initiatives
  • Identify causes of poor data quality, implement solutions, and communicate findings to employees, management, and stakeholders
  • Work collaboratively with system architects to develop methods for synchronizing data entering company systems from multiple points, and within infrastructure on-premise and within the cloud
  • Develop and present reports that reflect program effectiveness and efficiency
  • Perform targeted historical analysis; review historical trending data and recommend improvement opportunities
  • Produce required statistics, reports and supporting data for all related presentations and communications relating to analytics
  • Ensure product management activities are aligned to office of data, and enterprise data governance initiatives

  • Hands on experience working with very large data sets, including statistical analyses, data visualization, data mining, and data cleansing/transformation.

  • Ability to design and develop reports with custom formulas and groupings
  • Must possess understanding of data integrity and relationships
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills across all organizational levels required

  • Ability to perform in upper level management environment
  • Superior understanding of Business Intelligence Software, ETL tools, and Database Technologies
  • Basic understanding of infrastructure behind data management tools
  • Working knowledge of Python & R desired
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

Education and Experience:
  • 8+ years' of relevant, professional working experience
  • 4+ years' experience within Data Management / Analytics
  • Experience writing complex SQL queries an understanding of data modeling, data transformations and complex formulas
  • Bachelors degree from an accredited university
  • Master's degree in data science or quantitative methods preferred
