Key Responsibilities

  • - Develop and maintain data governance policies, standards, and procedures aligned with enterprise goals.
  • - Lead initiatives to improve data quality, metadata management, and reference data consistency.
  • - Facilitate the Data Governance Council and domain workgroups to resolve cross-functional data issues.
  • - Partner with Data Owners and Data Stewards to define business rules, data classifications, and quality thresholds.
  • - Support change management efforts to embed governance practices into daily operations.
  • - Conduct data quality audits and root cause analysis to identify and remediate issues.
  • - Monitor compliance with governance standards and escalate risks as needed.
  • - Work closely with data engineers, BI developers, and analysts to ensure governance standards are applied across data pipelines and reporting tools.
  • - Provide training and support to business users on data governance practices.
  • - Develop dashboards and reports to track governance KPIs, data quality scores, and issue resolution timelines.
  • - Present findings and recommendations to executive leadership and governance committees.
  • - Lead agile project management practices for data management initiatives, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  • - Manage and prioritize the data governance backlog, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and stakeholder needs.
  • - Track and resolve cross-functional dependencies across data domains, systems, and teams to ensure timely delivery of governance projects.

Qualifications

  • - Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Data Management, or related field; Master's preferred.
  • - 5+ years of experience in data governance, data quality, or enterprise data management.
  • - Strong understanding of data governance frameworks (e.g., DAMA-DMBOK), metadata, lineage, and stewardship models.
  • - Proficiency in data tools such as Power BI, Salesforce, QuickSight, and AWS Glue.
  • - Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Preferred Skills

  • - Experience with ERP and CRM systems integration (e.g., A+, Salesforce).
  • - Familiarity with regulatory requirements around data privacy and security.

- Ability to lead cross-functional workshops and drive consensus on data standards.
