Title: Senior Client Non-Stop Administrator
Location: Philadelphia, PA


Job Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Client Non-Stop Administrator to manage and support mission-critical train control systems. This role is pivotal in maintaining the stability, performance, and 24/7 availability of HPE Non-Stop (Tandem) systems, ensuring real-time dispatch operations run seamlessly.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer and maintain HPE Non-Stop systems across both production and development environments.

  • Continuously monitor system health, availability, and performance to ensure optimal uptime.

  • Perform system startups, shutdowns, cold loads, and recovery procedures as needed.

  • Enforce system security policies and manage user access rights.

  • Use tools like MEASURE to analyze system performance and implement proactive tuning.

  • Design and test backup and disaster recovery strategies.

  • Apply operating system patches, firmware, and software updates.

  • Manage change control and release cycles in coordination with other teams.

  • Collaborate with development, QA, and infrastructure teams for deployment and integration efforts.

  • Handle escalated incidents (Severity 1 & 2) and conduct root cause analysis.

  • Participate in on-call support and scheduled off-hour maintenance.

  • Maintain up-to-date documentation, runbooks, and configuration records.


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

  • Minimum 7 years of experience working with HPE Non-Stop (Tandem) systems.

  • In-depth knowledge of Client, OSS, and tools such as FUP, SCF, and TACL.

  • Strong TACL scripting skills for system automation.

  • Experience with Enscribe file structures, Pathway server configurations, and NetBatch.

  • Familiarity with Event Management System (EMS) and basic network administration (e.g., CLIM, IP configuration).
