Data Modeler

Responsibilities:

  • Create conceptual, logical, and physical data models based on business requirements. Ensure data models are scalable, efficient, and maintainable.
  • Develop and maintain database schemas, tables, views, indexes, and other database objects. Optimize database performance through appropriate indexing and partitioning.
  • Work with data integration teams to design and implement ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes. Ensure data consistency, accuracy, and integrity across different systems.
  • Analyze data requirements and data flows to identify data sources, relationships, and redundancies. Ensure data models support business intelligence, reporting, and analytics needs.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for data models, including data dictionaries and entity-relationship diagrams. Ensure documentation is up-to-date and accessible to Ensure data models comply with data governance and security policies.
  • Implement data standards and naming conventions to maintain data quality.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in data modeling, data architecture, or a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of database structure principles and data modeling standards.
  • Experience with data modeling tools such as: Excel, Visio, MySQL, Python, Oracle, Big Query, Talend, Power BI, Axonius.
Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.

Pay Rate: $65 per hour
