Position Summary
As a Lead Data Engineer, you will collaborate with business partners in Sales & Marketing Analytics to identity opportunities to leverage big data technologies with a common set of tools and infrastructure to make analytics faster, more insightful, and more efficient. You will use your skills in building data pipelines and knowledge of App Dev to enable data integration, data management, and analysis of massive data sets from multiple channels

Responsibilities:
  • Designs and develops complex and large-scale data structures and pipelines to organize, collect and standardize data to generate insights and addresses reporting needs
  • Leads a team of onshore/offshore consultants to build out/maintain web applications
  • Designs/problem solves web applications
  • Writes complex ETL (Extract / Transform / Load) processes, designs database systems and develops tools for real-time and offline analytic processing
  • Develops frameworks, standards & reference material for architecture and associated products
  • Applies knowledge of internal systems and products to consult and advise on additional efforts across multiple domains spanning broader enterprise
  • Collaborates with data science team to transform data and integrate algorithms and models into highly available, production systems
  • Uses in-depth knowledge on Hadoop architecture, HDFS commands and experience designing & optimizing queries to build scalable, modular, and efficient data pipelines
  • Uses advanced programming skills in Python, Java or any of the major languages to build robust data pipelines and dynamic systems
  • Integrates data from a variety of sources, assuring that they adhere to data quality and accessibility standards
  • Experiments with available tools and advice on new tools in order to determine optimal solution given the requirements dictated by the model/use case

Required Qualifications
  • 7 or more years of progressively complex big data experience, including advanced knowledge in Python, Hive, Google Cloud Platform or similar

Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong communication skills, and an ability to work cross-functionally with other teams
  • In-depth knowledge of large-scale search applications and building high volume data pipelines
  • Ability to leverage multiple tools and programming languages to analyze and manipulate large data sets from disparate data sources
  • Ability to understand and build complex systems and solve challenging analytical problems

Education
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in Computer Science, Engineering, Machine Learning, or related discipline. Master's degree a plus.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$130,295.00 - $260,590.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
