Job Title: Oracle EPM Functional Consultant GAAP Workstream Lead-W2 Only
Location- Denver, CO / Cedar Rapids, IA /Philadelphia, PA /Remote
Duration:-Full Time/ Long Term Contract
About the Role
One of our key clients is undergoing a major transformation of its financial reporting systems as part of a broader initiative to transition from IFRS17 to U.S. GAAP standards, in alignment with its parent company Aegon.
We are seeking a seasoned Oracle EPM Functional Consultant / Tech Lead to lead the GAAP workstream within the ERP and Financial Reporting modernization program. This workstream will run in parallel with the Oracle EPM implementation and will focus on ensuring a smooth, compliant, and timely migration to GAAP reporting standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the GAAP workstream supporting the transition from IFRS17 to U.S. GAAP, ensuring alignment with the Oracle EPM implementation timeline and architecture.
- Collaborate with finance, compliance, FP&A, ERP stakeholders, and CFO leadership teams to define and execute GAAP migration strategies.
- Serve as subject matter expert for GAAP reporting and its integration into Oracle EPM modules, including ARCS, FCCS, EDM, and TRCS.
- Design and validate GAAP-specific reporting controls, ensuring audit readiness and regulatory compliance.
- Provide architectural and functional guidance, leading design sessions focused on GAAP reporting requirements.
- Partner with external vendors delivering the EPM implementation: review deliverables, enforce timelines, and validate GAAP-specific acceptance criteria.
- Support deployment, testing (SIT/UAT), and post-production stabilization of GAAP reporting functionality.
- Prepare and deliver progress updates, risk assessments, and milestone presentations to senior stakeholders and executive leadership.
Required Qualifications
- Proven expertise in Oracle EPM Functional Consulting with direct experience in ARCS, FCCS, EDM, TRCS.
- Strong background in accounting and ERP Financials (GL, Financial Reporting, Consolidation).
- Experience working closely with ERP stakeholders, EPM users, FP&A teams, and CFO offices.
- Hands-on experience in financial reporting transformations, ideally with GAAP and IFRS17 frameworks.
- Strong understanding of financial compliance, audit controls, and regulatory reporting.
- Ability to manage vendors, review deliverables, and enforce project governance.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Skills
- Previous experience in large-scale finance transformation initiatives.
- Knowledge of insurance industry financial reporting.
- Familiarity with parallel ERP/EPM implementation programs.
