Job Summary:

We are seeking a strategic and versatile Internal Communications Manager to lead and execute internal messaging and storytelling initiatives for Cloud Learning Services (CLS). This contract role will manage end-to-end communication campaigns, executive updates, crisis response, newsletters, and performance reporting. You'll collaborate with senior leaders, cross-functional teams, and global stakeholders to ensure CLS's voice is visible, impactful, and consistent across Google Cloud s internal ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and own internal messaging for CLS product launches, Tier 1 3 campaigns, and major initiatives
• Serve as editor-in-chief for monthly internal newsletters and business review materials
• Drive internal storytelling by embedding CLS s successes and key wins across Google-wide communication channels
• Create and maintain communication templates, guidelines, and internal brand tone
• Manage and execute executive communications for the CLS Managing Director, including keynotes, org updates, and crisis response narratives
• Collaborate with Strategic Operations, Marketing, and Comms to ensure clarity and alignment across deliverables
• Apply behavioral science and internal comms best practices to improve engagement ("nudge and nurture" strategy)
• Maintain accurate milestone tracking and outcomes reporting via TaskFlow
• Copyedit and proofread content to meet high standards of clarity, tone, and branding

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, English, Marketing, or equivalent experience
• 3+ years of experience in internal communications or content strategy roles
• Outstanding writing, editing, and verbal communication skills with meticulous attention to detail
• Proven ability to present and communicate clearly at the executive level
• Strong project management skills with experience handling competing priorities
• Comfortable working in ambiguous, fast-paced environments with cross-functional teams
• Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Slides, Sheets) and experience creating executive-facing presentations

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience supporting cloud technologies or technical teams
• Prior experience developing campaigns or supporting cross-functional product rollouts
• Familiarity with executive communication and stakeholder alignment
• Ability to simplify complex topics and deliver impactful visual storytelling
• Experience coordinating communications across global or distributed teams
