Job Title: Senior UX Designer Location: 2930 Pearl Street, Boulder, CO 80301 (Hybrid) Duration: 9 months

Job Description

  • The UX Designer independently executes end-to-end design tasks within a larger product or program, ensuring user-centered, scalable, and high-quality design solutions. The role requires strong problem identification, structured communication, and hands-on delivery across UX research, interaction design, visual design, prototyping, and partner collaboration.
  • You will analyze user needs, define product requirements, craft user experiences, iterate based on feedback, and advocate for design excellence while working with minimal guidance. You contribute to design systems, partner communication, and strategic product direction.

Key Responsibilities
User Experience & Interaction Design

  • Develop design concepts, mockups, wireframes, prototypes, and visual models to inform ideation and user testing.
  • Apply and adapt UX frameworks, design patterns, and systems to create consistent, accessible, and scalable experiences.
  • Craft innovative solutions that balance user needs, business goals, and technical constraints.

Research & Insights

  • Conduct or collaborate on research to validate user needs and inform design direction.
  • Iterate on designs using UX testing, partner feedback, and data-driven insights.

Design Systems & Process

  • Contribute to design processes, design language, and systems across teams or products.
  • Maintain and manage design specifications for engineering implementation.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Communicate rationale, design decisions, and strategy to product managers, engineers, and cross-functional teams.
  • Help influence design strategy and secure partner buy-in.
  • Plan and prioritize workload, identifying opportunities to expand impact within the product team.

Evaluation & Continuous Improvement

  • Use key data and metrics to evaluate design impact and refine experiences.
  • Understand product ecosystem, user trends, and competitor landscape to inform decisions.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 4+ years of interaction design experience in product design or UX.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing end-to-end product work (include link in resume).
  • Advanced skills in visual and interaction design, including typography, layout, color, and clean, usable interfaces.
