Systems Engineer
The Opportunity:

Are you looking for an opportunity to combine your technical and tactical skills to create an immediate impact within a simulation environment for the United States military? With your prior experience, you will understand the customer's environment and how to develop, implement, and maintain systems for their mission.

As a tactical systems engineer on our team, you will use your experience with tactical network architecture, security, installation, and configuration to assist a team of engineers focusing on Network Modernization of legacy infrastructure. Your customer will t rus t you to fully design, implement, and secure these systems, as well as evolve them with new technologies as appropriate. On our team, you will troubleshoot and resolve complex issues across the spectrum from the tactical training edge to the simulated training environment. You'll perform in-depth analysis of current infrastructure to understand how to make sustainable improvements to increase security, reliability, and availability for mission-critical network systems. Using your technical curiosity and knowledge of industry standards, you will make an impact on national mission force security missions.

You Have:
  • 10+ years of experience working in a tactical communications environment
  • 5+ years of experience leading a technical team
  • Experience creating and testing plans and procedures
  • Experience working with and maintaining encryption devices
  • Experience working with and maintaining TAK and WINTAK systems
  • Experience deriving requirements from the client
  • Experience within the military with KMI and COMSEC
  • TS / SCI clearance
  • HS diploma or GED
  • Security+ Certification


Nice If You Have:
  • Experience working in the DoD or a military environment
  • Experience working within an Agile environment
  • Experience working within the Spe cia l Operations community
  • Experience with tactical SATCOM and MESH network technologies
  • Experience working with the current L3Harris family of radios, including AN- PRC -163 or 167
  • Experience working with the Persistent Systems family of radios


Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
