looking for a Lead / Sr. Application Developer (React) to work on a 12+ Months Contract role (Potential to extend OR Convert to Full-time) = Hybrid at St.

Notes from Hiring Manager (Merged & Polished):
The team is building the UI for a new advisor-facing chatbot designed to answer account- and operations-related questions and support actionable workflows.
This is a purely front-end role where the developer will lead and build the entire application UI end-to-end.
Requires very strong React experience (React 19; React 17/18 also acceptable), strong JavaScript skills, and strong UX/CSS capabilities.
Hybrid role based in St. Petersburg, FL onsite 2 days per week.
The app is expected to go live by September 2026, with Delivery 1 targeted for end of March and a broader rollout to most advisors by September 30th.

Duties:

As a Lead Developer on the Client's AI Chatbot team, you will play a key role in shaping the technical vision and execution of software solutions supporting our chatbot. You ll work on designing, building, and optimizing high-performance, scalable chatbot that will be used by our Advisors. This position requires a blend of deep technical expertise and strategic collaboration across multiple teams.

This role is hybrid where you should expect to be in the office between 10-12 days a month.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and Architect: Design, develop, and deliver enterprise-grade trading applications that align with business objectives and technology strategy.
  • System Design: Architect robust, scalable, and maintainable solutions for complex agentic systems.
  • Quality & Performance: Oversee code reviews, testing, and performance tuning to ensure optimal system reliability and efficiency.
  • Collaboration: Partner closely with Development Managers, Engineers, Business Analysts, Project Managers, and Vendors to ensure alignment, transparency, and successful delivery.
  • Engineering Excellence: Champion modern software engineering practices, including CI/CD, automated testing, and agile delivery.
  • Innovation: Stay ahead of emerging technologies and frameworks, leading proof-of-concept initiatives to evaluate new tools and methodologies.
  • Issue Resolution: Own and resolve complex technical challenges, ensuring system stability and long-term maintainability.
  • Compliance & Documentation: Ensure all solutions adhere to Client's security, compliance, and documentation standards.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive proactive problem analysis to minimize defects, reduce rework, and improve delivery timelines.
  • Other Duties: Perform additional responsibilities as required.

Skills:

  • Experience: 8+ years of software development experience with at least 3 years in a technical leadership role.
  • Technical Expertise: Proven experience in modern UI programming languages (e.g., Angular, React, JavaScript), distributed systems and financial applications.
  • Tools & Frameworks: Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, cloud platforms, and performance monitoring tools.
  • Soft Skills: Strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership abilities with a collaborative mindset.

Education:

  • Education: Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
