The typical pay range for this role is:
$72,100.00 - $173,040.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.

Position Summary
Aetna's Clinical Analytics team creates innovative analytic tools to drive better healthcare outcomes. We're currently seeking a Data Scientist to support the development and implementation of analytic capabilities that enhance the impact of Aetna's care management programs.
Responsibilities include:
- Development of advanced analytics, predictive models and machine learning/deep learning algorithms to identify care opportunities, prioritization of clinical recommendations, evaluation of program performance, and optimization of information delivery.
- Explores, examines, and interprets large volumes of data in various forms.
- Performs analyses of structured and unstructured data to solve moderately complex business problems, utilizing advanced statistical techniques and mathematical analyses.
- Develops data structures and pipelines to organize, collect and standardize data that helps generate insights and addresses reporting needs.
- Uses data visualization techniques to effectively communicate analytical results and support business decisions.
- Creates and evaluates the data needs of assigned projects and assures the integrity of the data.
- Collaborating with other data scientists and business partners and participating in all phases of initiatives from exploration of clinical opportunities, development of solutions, to partnering with IT and business teams for implementation.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years Analytic experience
- 2+ years SQL Programming experience
- 1+ year experience at a Data Scientist
- 1+ year experience with Python
- 1+ year experience with Cloud ( Google Cloud Platform , AWS or Azure )
- 1+ year experience communicating technical concepts to business
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with BigQuery ( BQ )
- Experience with ML Modeling, machine learning algorithms, statistical analysis, data engineering and data visualization
- Understanding of health care industry and clinical research concepts
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work with large data sets from multiple data sources
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Economics, Physics, Engineering, or related discipline
- Master's degree preferred
