About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Java Software Engineer to join our team supporting WIMT Lending. In this role, you will play a key part in enhancing and modernizing critical lending applications. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity, ideal for a candidate looking to transition into a long-term role within a dynamic and collaborative engineering environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to the design, development, and deployment of scalable software solutions for lending applications.
  • Participate in moderately complex engineering initiatives and collaborate on large-scale planning efforts.
  • Analyze and resolve technical challenges, applying deep knowledge of software engineering principles and best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and client stakeholders to deliver high-quality software solutions.
  • Support continuous integration and deployment processes using modern DevOps tools.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • 4+ years of experience in software engineering, or equivalent experience through a combination of work, consulting, military service, or education.
  • Strong proficiency in Java and object-oriented programming.
  • Experience with version control and build tools such as GitHub and Gradle.
  • Familiarity with development environments and frameworks including Eclipse, Tomcat, and Jenkins.
  • Hands-on experience with deployment tools such as uDeploy and container platforms like OpenShift (OCP).

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, agile development environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
