Job Title: AI Engineer
Location: Remote
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled AI Engineer to support a state government client. This role is primarily remote (East Coast hours) with occasional visits to the client office as required. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience building and deploying AI/ML solutions, strong communication skills, and the ability to work with large, complex datasets in a regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and deploy AI/ML models for state government and enterprise use cases
- Work with structured and unstructured data to build scalable AI solutions
- Perform data preprocessing, feature engineering, model training, validation, and tuning
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data engineers, product managers, and client stakeholders
- Translate business and program requirements into AI-driven solutions
- Monitor, maintain, and improve model performance in production
- Ensure compliance with data privacy, security, and regulatory standards
- Participate in meetings during East Coast business hours and attend onsite sessions when required
Required Qualifications:
- 4 5 years of experience as an AI Engineer / Machine Learning Engineer
- Strong proficiency in Python and ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn)
- Solid understanding of machine learning algorithms, model evaluation, and deployment practices
- Experience integrating ML models into production systems
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a remote environment with government or enterprise clients
