RTC Administrator

GoAhead Solutions has an immediate need for an RTC Administrator. This would be a Twelve month contract to start out. This position would be fully remote.

Summary:

The Senior RTC Administrator supports the Rational Team Concert product and additional auxiliary products related to Mainframe development. This position ensures the RTC software and infrastructure are stable, within contractual support requirements from vendor, assists Mainframe developers using the application, troubleshoots and remediates issues found, proactively promotes best practices, and drives the implementation of upgrades as needed.

Must have a minimum of 4 responsibilities and a maximum of 6.

1. 25%--Maintain, monitor, troubleshoot and optimize systems for reliability and efficient performance on a 24/7 365 days a year model. Partner with development and other teams to improve services through rigorous testing and release procedures. Ensure systems adhere to relevant security protocols and regulations.
2. 20%--Ensures all supported applications/tools are adhering to all company Policies and Standards and will be create corrective action plans for any events that fall outside of these requirements.
3. 20%--Supports development teams in the use of RTC and other tools assigned. Triages alerts, issues, and escalates to appropriate teams and/or vendor. Follows ITSM processes for incident response, change management, and problem investigation.
4. 20%--Ensures RTC and other tools assigned are up to date in accordance with vendor contractual obligations and plans for upgrade releases with all relevant IT counterparts.
5. 15%--Reviews and refreshes all user guides and procedures to ensure information is easy to understand and support. Prepares and maintains disaster recovery plans.

Qualifications:

-Understanding of z/OS mainframe file structures

-Understanding of COBOL compile process

-Experience with distributed source management tool

Required Knowledge, Abilities, Skills:

-Excellence in communication skills, verbal and written

-Strong working knowledge of distributed source code management principles and tools

-Working knowledge of Mainframe File Organization Understanding

-Working knowledge of Mainframe Compiler Processing

-Strong working experience supporting development tools in a 24/7/365 capacity

-Proactive approach to triaging and troubleshooting problems, performance bottlenecks, and areas for improvement in a distributed environment.

*Strong knowledge and experience in troubleshooting platforms, applications, or infrastructure with high availability, disaster recovery

-Professional experience working within ITSM framework processes (Change and Incident).

-Experience with maintaining support documentation for platforms and/or supported applications.

-Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving member experiences.

-Experience mentoring development teams on tools and application usage

-Experience using Rexx Scripts

-Experience with Java Server

-Experience with Eclipse IDE, Assembler

-Working knowledge of RTC and RDZ (developer tools)
