Job Description

Experience Level: 4+ years of experience in Power BI Platform Administration, with a minimum of 4 plus years focused on the specified technologies.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Platform Maintenance & Operations:

Manage the day-to-day operations and administration of the Snowflake data warehouse environment.

Administer and configure virtual warehouses, resource monitors, and user sessions.

Monitor and maintain Azure Data Factory (ADF) pipelines, ensuring they are running on schedule and without errors.

Implement system configuration changes, upgrades, and patches for both platforms as directed by the Lead.

Assist in the management of data backup, recovery, and replication processes for Snowflake.

Security & Governance:

Implement and enforce security policies, user roles, and access controls within Snowflake.

Manage user accounts, permissions, and database roles according to security policies.

Assist in the configuration and maintenance of network policies and data encryption settings.

Work closely with the Lead and security teams to ensure the platforms meet all compliance and security standards for the customer.

Performance Monitoring & Optimization:

Proactively monitor the performance of Snowflake queries and virtual warehouses, and assist in performance tuning efforts.

Manage and monitor resource consumption and cost optimization within Snowflake.

Troubleshoot and resolve pipeline failures and performance issues in ADF.

Provide data and insights on platform performance to the Lead for reporting purposes.

Support & Troubleshooting:

Act as a hands-on technical resource for incidents and service requests related to the Snowflake and ADF platforms.

Perform root cause analysis for recurring operational issues.

Support the data engineering team by providing access and troubleshooting platform-level problems.

Collaboration:

Report directly to the Snowflake, ADF Platform Admin Lead, providing regular updates on platform health, issues, and ongoing tasks.
