Job Description:

Apex Systems is looking for an AWS Sr. Cloud Engineer (Architect) for a large client of ours out of the Fort Lauderdale, FL area. They need someone who has strong technical experience within AWS architecture. They have run into technical limitations with their current architecture, so they need someone to help redesign their AWS Cloud environment. If you are interested in the role, please apply directly. Position: AWS Sr. Cloud Engineer (Architect)

Contract Rate: Market Rate

Salary Conversion: 150-200K - Depends on the candidate

Length: 6-12 Month Contract to Hire

Location: Fort Lauderdale, FL area

Onsite Requirement: Monday - Thursday onsite and Friday remote

Summary:

Apex Systems is looking for a strong AWS Sr. Cloud Engineer (Architect) to help redesign their AWS Cloud environment. They have run into technical limitations with their current architecture, so they want someone who has experience designing for high volume transitions in the cloud while also pushing a lot of data within the cloud. The team needs someone who has strong experience architecting AWS Cloud infrastructure and communicate well with cross functional teams.

Job Description:

Responsibilities:
  • Architect, design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud architectures on AWS.
  • Architect and manage AWS services including S3, EKS, Transit Gateways, and Load Balancers.
  • Ensure high availability and disaster recovery solutions are in place.
  • Collaborate with development teams to integrate cloud solutions into applications.
  • Monitor and optimize cloud performance, cost, and security.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior team members.
  • Stay updated with the latest AWS services and best practices.


Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience with AWS services, particularly architecting AWS cloud infrastructure - S3, Transit Gateways, Load Balancers, EKS, etc.
  • Strong understanding of networking, security, and cloud architecture principles.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
