Job Overview:
The Civil Group at Leidos is seeking an experienced Cloud Administrator to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to important programs and work on cutting-edge multi-cloud environments. You ll play a critical role in engineering solutions, automating deployments, enforcing compliance, and enabling efficient cloud operations.
Primary Responsibilities:
Specifically, in this role you will be responsible for:
Cloud Administration
- Deployment of cloud resources and managing resource lifecycles, compliance, and access rights.
- Development and execution of deployments using infrastructure-as-code and usage of DevOps pipelines to operate cloud-native services and deployments.
- Monitor and manage FinOps dashboards and overall cloud and resource costs.
- Ensure the integrity and functional performance of data streams.
- Develop and implement cloud governance strategies including but not limited to finops, guardrails, compliance, & tagging strategies.
Network Infrastructure
- Implement highly available network architectures and manage network security and network routing in a hybrid-cloud environment.
- Manage IP based access rules, network address sourcing, and CIDR lists/lists.
- Implement and operate cloud based VPNs, VPN Gateways, peering connections, private-links, and endpoint services.
Collaboration
- Communicate effectively and promptly with DevSecOps teams to implement appropriate cloud-native solutions and maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of the system and network infrastructure including diagrams, configuration details, and operational procedures.
- Participate in in-house training programs to foster and spread knowledge and awareness to project teams, promote and empower decision making, and manage incident reports.
- Identify and implement cost-saving improvements and operational efficiencies over the lifespan of projects and resources.
- Enable successful project outcomes by participating in application development lifecycles and building applications-as-code.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field + 4 years of relevant experience (or equivalent experience in lieu of degree).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Azure and AWS environments.
- Understanding of cybersecurity practices and Azure Sentinel.
- Strong knowledge of DNS, VPN, DHCP, TLS, IP routing, subnetting.
- Experience with automation and infrastructure tasks.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues independently.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Public Trust Clearance eligibility.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master s degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Certifications such as: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, AWS Solutions Architect Professional, CISSP.
- Experience with Microsoft Intune, Azure Policy, or Azure EntraID.
- Exposure to Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform).
