Job Details

Position: Senior Network Engineer

Location: Cambridge, Massachusetts (On-site 5 days per week)

Duration: CTH Will convert after 6 months

Job Title: Senior Network Engineer

Industry Sector: IT Consulting / Federal Government Contracting

Experience: Must have a minimum of 10 years of related experience as a subject matter expert in architecting complex networks. Must have experience with Cisco, DHCP, DNS, VPN, MPLS, MTIPS, Border Gateway Protocol (BGP), routing, switching, and Out-of-Band (OOB) networks, cloud infrastructure, and firewall management. Must have IPV6 transition experience. Must be an expert in routing and switching.

Key Technical Skills:

o Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE)

o IPV4 to IPV6 transitioning

o Palo Alto firewall

o Cisco Firepower VPN

o Cisco Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI)

o Cisco Digital Network Architecture (DNAC)

o IPV6, DHCP, DNS, VPN, MPLS, MTIPS

o Border Gateway Protocol (BGP), routing, switching

o Out-of-Band (OOB) networks

o Cloud infrastructure and firewall management

o CISCO CCIE certification

Key Responsibilities:

o Manage and maintain the Cisco ISE environment.

o Lead the transition from IPV4 to IPV6.

o Design, implement, and manage complex network services.

o Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues.

o Provide direct support for network operational issues to other departments.

o Install, configure, maintain, and upgrade network infrastructure.

o Collaborate with application owners and IT stakeholders to support a scalable, efficient, and stable network.

o Research, plan, design, and implement network technologies using industry best practices.

o Assist in developing network policies, procedures, and change management.

o Work with the virtualization group to ensure interoperability between physical and virtual environments.

o Participate in Disaster Recovery/Business Continuity planning and execution.

Required Certifications/Education:

o CISCO CCIE certification (Must complete within 90 days of hire)
