We are seeking a Node.js Backend Developer to assist our direct client. This is a 6-month, hybrid position with the possibility of conversion to full-time employment.
Backend Development:
- Primary focus on Node.js for backend services - Typescript, JavaScript
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable microservices deployed on AWS.
- Implement and integrate APIs, ensuring seamless communication with internal systems and third-party vendor services.
- Write, test, and deploy backend code using Node.js and AWS services.
Cloud Infrastructure:
- Utilize AWS services (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, etc.) to build, deploy, and manage applications.
- Optimize deployments for performance, scalability, and reliability.
API Integration & Design:
- Collaborate with product managers to define API specifications.
- Design solutions that integrate vendor APIs into existing systems.
- Create documentation and maintain version control for APIs
Requirements:
- 7 – 8 years of hands-on experience in backend software engineering.
- Proven track record of designing, building, and maintaining backend systems.
- Strong proficiency in Node.js for backend development with demonstrated experience in architecting and designing backend systems.
- Strong proficiency in Typescript.
- Extensive experience deploying microservices on AWS, leveraging services such as Lambda, ECS, or Fargate.
- Deep understanding of API integration and experience building microservices that integrate with third-party vendor APIs.
- Strong backend integration skills, including data handling, API orchestration, and service-to-service communication.
- Familiarity with platform-level system design, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks.
- Strong initiative in driving technical solutions and collaborating with vendors.
