Application Database Developer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce is looking for an Application Database Developer for an onsite contract opportunity in Lenexa, KS.

Day to Day Responsibilities:
* Responsible for the administration, optimization, monitoring, tuning and backup/retrieval of enterprise databases
* Additional responsibilities include creating and maintaining user access, space management, database refreshes, and database security
* Monitors database for potential problems and creates end-user reports
* Provides appropriate consulting, interfacing, and training for users
* Establishes and maintains policies, standard operating procedures, and associated documentation for user interaction with the database environment
* Responsible for setting up development, non-prod and production databases using PostgreSQL
* May write and tune T-SQL or PL/SQL code
* Will participate in data migration activities and work with application development teams to provide database access and knowledge

REQUIREMENTS:
* A minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Database Administrator is required
* Experienced working as an embedded database developer on a software development team to support full SDLC
* Experience working with a development team as part of Scrum team
* Expert in MongoDB
* Expert in managing, performance tuning and overall optimization of MS SQL Server

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
