Manager of Population Health Data Analytics

Overview

The Manager of Population Health Analytics leads a team dedicated to advancing Bronson Network's transition to value-based care through data-driven insights. This role is responsible for developing and maintaining advanced analytics tools that inform clinical quality, patient experience, and cost-efficiency strategies. A key focus is using data and compelling visualizations to tell stories that matter-stories that inspire action, inform decisions, and drive meaningful change across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Strategy

- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of analysts; oversee recruitment, training, and performance. - Define and prioritize analytics initiatives aligned with strategic goals. - Collaborate with physicians, leaders, and staff to support quality improvement and performance initiatives.

Analytics & Reporting

- Design and maintain dashboards and reports that communicate clinical quality and value-based care performance. - Use data storytelling and visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to translate complex data into actionable insights. - Integrate clinical and claims data to support cost and performance improvement. - Conduct high-level analyses using statistical tools to evaluate population health metrics. - Partner with IT to build scorecards and reporting formats for leadership and network stakeholders.

Program Development

- Develop new analytics systems and processes to support population health management. - Support metric development for clinical programs, patient engagement, and experience. - Maintain expertise in CMS, HEDIS, NCQA, and other regulatory requirements.

Collaboration & Communication

- Present insights through compelling narratives that influence decision-making and align stakeholders. - Provide consultation on statistical analysis and performance metrics. - Participate in committees and workgroups to establish best practices and guidelines.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

- Bachelor's degree in a related field with 5+ years of healthcare and data analysis experience. - Master's degree preferred with 3+ years of relevant experience. - Proven experience leading cross-functional teams and projects.

Technical Skills

- Proficiency in SQL, Power BI, and Microsoft Office. - Experience with EMR systems (Epic preferred). - Strong knowledge of clinical decision support systems and database design.

Soft Skills

- Excellent communication, organizational, and conceptual thinking skills. - Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments. - Strong judgment and sensitivity when handling confidential information.

Additional Information

- Physical demands include regular walking, standing, sitting, and light lifting. - Must adhere to HIPAA guidelines and demonstrate professionalism in all communications.
