We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Quality Engineer to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about quality assurance and control in the manufacturing industry, specifically for large aerospace parts. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our manufacturing processes meet both internal and external requirements, including legal compliance and customer expectations. They will be part of a team that is committed to delivering top-quality aerospace components and will have the opportunity to contribute significantly to our company's success.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality engineering protocols and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation.
  • Ensure conformance to AS9002:1994, ASQR-01, and other relevant aerospace quality standards.
  • Utilize Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and other process improvement methods to enhance manufacturing quality and efficiency.
  • Conduct quality inspections and audits, and manage the corrective and preventive action process.
  • Perform root cause analysis to identify and resolve recurring manufacturing issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Prepare and present quality reports and metrics to senior management.
  • Train and guide staff on new processes and compliance requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a Quality Engineering role within the manufacturing industry, preferably in aerospace.
  • Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems and Quality Auditing.
  • Proven experience with Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and other process improvement methods.
  • Familiarity with AS9002:1994, ASQR-01, and other aerospace quality standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with a strong focus on root cause analysis.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in using quality inspection tools and software.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or equivalent certification is a plus.
