Active Directory Engineer

A recognized business services company in New York City is currently seeking an Active Directory (AD) Engineer to assist with the ongoing integration and support of their environment.

***This is a Hybrid opportunity requiring the qualified professional to work onsite in Manhattan at least 3 days a week.***

***3^rd Party candidates will not be considered!!!***

Responsibilities:

• Design, integration, implementation, and support of the AD environment to support various projects and initiatives


• Monitor of the AD environment and respond to alerts, as needed


• Perform other duties and provide support, as needed

Qualifications:

• 7+ years of relevant IT experience


• Expert knowledge and experience with Active Directory, including Security Groups, replication, etc.


• Good knowledge and experience with monitoring AD


• Experience with implementing and troubleshooting AD group policies both at the Domain & OU level


• Experience with Security/Monitoring tools that monitor changes to AD


• Good understanding and experience with DC and role distribution for a highly redundant environment across two data centers


• Experience in creating user accounts, groups, OU's, etc.


• Good PowerShell scripting experience in both AD Group Membership management as well as Windows folder/file permissions


• Strong experience with Windows Folder/File permissions across nested folder structures in an extremely security-sensitive environment (good understanding of ACL's)


• Good understanding of and adherence to Change Management processes


• Experience with large-scale data center environments


• Proven troubleshooting skills


• Good interpersonal skills and communication skills

Desired Skills:

• Relevant Microsoft certifications


• Experience with Intra ID


• Experience with DevOps and IaC
