Job Description:

We are looking for a motivated Printer Technician to join our team. This role is perfect for individuals passionate about technology and eager to deliver printer-related technical skills in a dynamic environment. You will play a key role in providing technical support and maintenance to our clients' printing devices, ensuring optimal performance and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve printer issues, both hardware and software.
  • Perform routine maintenance and service on a variety of printers, including multifunctional, plotter, laser, and inkjet devices.
  • Support the network installation and configuration of printers at client sites.
  • Document service requests, maintenance activity, and resolutions in the ticketing system to maintain clear communication with clients and team members.
  • Order and inventory required toner and part replacements.
  • Initiate incident tickets through Canon vendor portal and track in MassMutual Service Now portal.
  • Contribute to the development of best practices for printer maintenance and service protocols.
  • Work directly with Canon printer technicians to initiate incidents and fulfill break-fix printer incidents.
  • Participate in training sessions to enhance technical knowledge and skills.

Required Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years experience in a technical support role, with a focus on multi-functional, plotter, and desktop print devices.
  • Strong understanding of printer hardware and software components.
  • Understanding of troubleshooting techniques for common printer issues.
  • Applicable understanding of networking concepts and how they relate to printer installations and connectivity.
  • Ability to physically move printers within a site when necessary.
  • Ability to travel if required.
  • Applicable understanding of inventory management.
  • Understanding of troubleshooting various printer types (Multi-Functional, Desktop Laser, and Inkjet).
  • Familiarity with basic troubleshooting of operating systems such as Windows and MacOS.
