Technical Sales Manager - Data Acquisition & Test Systems

A leading manufacturer of advanced data acquisition and test systems is seeking a Technical Sales Manager. This role requires someone who can communicate fluently with engineers, navigate long and technical sales cycles, and deliver high-value solutions. Position Summary:
The Technical Sales Manager is responsible for both direct sales and supporting a global network of reseller partners. This role combines technical expertise with sales strategy, customer engagement, and channel development.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify, develop, and close new sales opportunities.
Collaborate with the executive sales team to create and implement sales strategies focused on growth and customer success.
Enable and support global sales partners with training, joint sales calls, and quarterly reviews.
Prepare detailed, customized proposals and quotations based on customer needs.
Maintain accurate sales forecasts and reports using Salesforce CRM.
Assist in defining custom accessories or solutions to meet complex application requirements.
Conduct in-person and virtual product demonstrations.
Promote company offerings through social media, particularly LinkedIn.
Contribute insights to help guide new product development based on market demand.
Partner with customer service and technical support to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and industry events.
Take on additional responsibilities as needed by leadership.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
At least 5 years of experience in technical sales within the test and measurement, data acquisition, or similar industry.
Deep understanding of data acquisition systems, sensors, and related software.
Proven ability to manage complex sales cycles and customer relationships.
Formal sales training (e.g., Sandler, Miller-Heiman) is a plus.
Experience with dynamic test and measurement applications is required.
Strong skills in LinkedIn prospecting and use of tools like Sales Navigator are preferred.
Confident in delivering compelling product demonstrations and technical presentations.
Excellent time management, organizational, and communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools and the ability to learn proprietary software solutions.
