Job Description
This position provides engineering execution leadership for all Weapon Systems development efforts within Advanced Development Programs (ADP) Air Mobility and Maritime Mission (AMMM) Improvements and Derivatives (I&D) portfolio of programs. This role supports multiple development programs/projects designing, developing, and testing Mission Systems and Software.
This position is responsible for the technical adequacy of system of system designs and provides comprehensive, integrated, and executable technical solutions supporting Weapon System development to meet all critical schedules and resolve critical/complex technical issues. The position manages a consolidated team of engineers from across competencies to execute existing contract efforts and capture new efforts aimed at advancing AMMM capabilities.
Management responsibility will include technical oversight of engineering efforts across technical competencies directly related or tangent to AMMM I&D, collaboration with industry partners and guidance of mission system (MS) capabilities. This includes deep understanding of MS architecture, software & hardware development, integration and testing.
Key capability for this position includes knowledge of various ongoing development efforts within the Advanced Development Programs, open architecture initiatives, knowledge of LM Aero and LM Corporate advanced technologies and current integration experience including systems engineering and system architecture.
In addition to the technical competence oversight, this role will leverage program management skills in executing highly dynamic projects within short timelines while meeting/exceeding program cost, schedule, and technical objectives, as well as crafting program status and performance briefings and presenting to senior internal management and customers.
This position supports the development of communications to customers at peer levels and senior levels.
This is a leadership position and will be a key member of the program leadership team and as such must ensure coordinated performance across all engineering disciplines. Will also participate in key leadership roles for proposal efforts and is responsible for effectively collaborating with related programs to build consensus and comprehensive solutions to meet tactical and strategic goals.
Basic Qualifications
Appropriate technical degree from an accredited college.
Experience in either Mission Systems design, build, test or Software design, build, test.

For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
