Are you ready to collaborate with a dynamic software engineering team committed to challenging the status quo? If you seek a fulfilling challenge, our AI Software Engineer role may be your ideal fit! Every team member is dedicated to innovation for our customers. This role is inherently entrepreneurial, demanding candidates who can grasp the entirety of a business problem to deliver end-to-end solutions. This position involves approximately 80% software engineering and 20% data science. You will utilize Go, TensorFlow, PostgreSQL, and various Google Cloud Platform tools to shape "the brain" of our platform. Specifically, your responsibilities will include:
  • Problem-solving through mechanistic, bottom-up thinking and statistical, top-down approaches
  • Developing innovative mechanisms to optimize supply chain processes
  • Enhancing the intelligence of logistics simulations and market optimization algorithms
  • Implementing and deploying models predicting commodity demand, supply availability, estimated arrival times, delays, and more within logistics networks

Qualifications:

We seek individuals with the following qualifications:

  • Proficiency in designing and implementing AI tools using Go
  • Experience in at least one ML framework (e.g., TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch)
  • Expertise in developing solutions incorporating algorithms, optimization, reinforcement learning, artificial neural networks, discrete event simulation, and case-based reasoning
  • Ability to independently execute tasks with minimal supervision and solve problems efficiently
  • Familiarity with function/path optimization and proficiency in common algorithms like linear programming, BOBYQA, A* Search, and simulated annealing
  • Advanced degree in a quantitative field
