Summary:
We are seeking a seasoned Project Manager to lead a dynamic data modernization initiative for a key client. This role involves managing a cross-functional team-including collaboration with Azure Architects and Azure Data Engineers-as they migrate legacy data systems to an Azure-based solution.
The project scope includes designing and implementing a new Azure Data Factory pipeline and establishing a three-layered database architecture that supports advanced reporting capabilities. This role is ideal for someone with strong Azure ecosystem knowledge, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to navigate a staggered onboarding process for team members.

Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning & Execution:
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive project plan with timelines and milestones.
- Set up and configure Azure DevOps as the primary project management tool.
- Create and maintain Gantt charts and visual timelines for leadership and team tracking.
- Team & Stakeholder Coordination:
- Facilitate seamless collaboration across onshore and offshore teams.
- Run daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
- Onboard new team members as they join at different project phases, providing scope overview and knowledge transfer.
- Communication & Reporting:
- Create executive-level PowerPoint presentations to communicate progress and risks to leadership.
- Write concise project updates, summaries, and status reports.
- Track and manage project tickets and ensure timely resolution.
- Client Engagement:
- Schedule and facilitate meetings with business stakeholders for scope definition, demos, and UAT sessions.
- Act as a liaison between the technical team and business users to ensure clear understanding of requirements and deliverables.
- 6+ years of experience in project management, ideally in data or cloud transformation initiatives.
- Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps for project planning, task tracking, and team coordination.
- Strong proficiency in creating PowerPoint presentations and visual reports for executive audiences.
- Solid understanding of Azure technologies, especially Azure Data Factory and related services.
- Ability to develop and manage Gantt charts and other project visualization tools.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a knack for concise, structured messaging.
- Demonstrated experience working with staggered team onboarding and managing knowledge transfer (KT) processes.
- Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to manage and align multiple stakeholders.
