Job Details

Role: Dot Net Enterprise Architect with P&C

Location: Peoria, IL (Initial Onsite)

Duration: Long Term

Key Responsibilities

Lead design and governance of enterprise architecture frameworks, patterns, and standards.

Translate RLI s business strategy into roadmap-driven technology architectures spanning infrastructure, applications, data, and security.

Develop and maintain architectural artifacts: principles, roadmaps, reference models, and solution architectures.

Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders including product, underwriting, claims, and finance to align business needs with enterprise architecture.

Evaluate emerging technologies, vendor solutions, and industry trends; drive their adoption where strategic.

Serve as architectural advisor during project initiation and implementation, reviewing technical designs and ensuring compliance with standards and regulatory requirements.

Mentor and coach junior architects and technical teams, cultivating an environment of continuous architecture maturity improvement.

Engage with external technology partners and vendors to inform internal strategy and vice versa.

Qualifications & Experience

Education: Bachelor s (Master s preferred) in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Experience: 8 12+ years in enterprise architecture or related roles, preferably within insurance, financial services, or similarly regulated industries.

Proven experience with architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, FEAF, or Zachman - Mandatory

Deep understanding of property & casualty insurance platforms, regulatory/compliance requirements, and cybersecurity best practices.

Background in data architecture, including modelling, master data management, and analytics strategy.

Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills; able to influence both IT and business teams effectively.

Excellent strategic planning, critical thinking, and written & verbal communication skills.
