WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
Technical Requirements and Certifications »
- CompTIA Network+ is a plus.
Education and Experience »
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Networking, or related field; or equivalent hands-on experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities »
- Strong understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP), network devices (routers, switches, firewalls), and operating systems.
- Familiarity with wireless networking standards (Wi-Fi 5/6), VLANs, and VPN technologies.
- Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
- Ability to troubleshoot network issues, analyze network traffic, and identify root causes.
- Ability to effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work effectively with other engineers, IT staff, and users.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Job Responsibilities:
- Creating and maintaining network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and procedures.
- Installing, configuring, and maintaining network hardware and software, including routers, switches, servers, and wireless access points.
- Monitoring network performance, identifying and resolving issues, and documenting network configurations and changes.
- Working with senior engineers on network projects, from planning to implementation.
- Assist in the deployment and maintenance of security measures, including firewalls, access control lists, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
- Providing technical support to users, troubleshooting network connectivity problems, and documenting solutions.
