Job Title: BI Developer

About the Role:
We are seeking a Business Intelligence Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will design and develop data solutions that empower data-driven decision-making across the organization. The ideal candidate is a collaborative team player with strong SQL, SSRS, SSIS, Power BI, and data modeling skills, with over 3 years of experience in BI development. A key part of this role also involves creating clear and comprehensive documentation for data processes and solutions.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement data solutions to support decision-making processes.
Design, develop, and maintain SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services) reports and dashboards.
Build and optimize SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) packages/data pipelines for data integration and ETL processes.
Design and optimize complex SQL queries to extract and analyze data.
Develop and maintain data models to ensure efficient data architecture and reporting.
Conduct testing to ensure accuracy, performance, and reliability of BI solutions, including reports, dashboards, and ETL processes.
Document data processes, solutions, and workflows to ensure clarity, consistency, and maintainability.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for data improvements and reporting solutions.
Translate business requirements into actionable data models, reports, and dashboards.
Work both independently and as part of a team to meet project goals and deadlines.
Requirements:
At least 3 years of experience as a Business Intelligence Engineer, Developer, or similar role.
Bachelor s degree in computer science or related field
Strong proficiency in SQL, with the ability to design and optimize complex queries.
Hands-on experience with SSRS for creating reports and dashboards.
Experience building and managing SSIS packages/data pipelines for ETL and data integration.
Proven experience in data modeling to support BI solutions and reporting needs.
Ability to document data solutions, workflows, and technical processes clearly and effectively.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Knowledge of data warehouse design principles and concepts.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Desired Qualifications/Experience:
Experience with Power BI to develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports.
Experience with Databricks or Microsoft Azure/Fabric data stack
Familiarity with Python for data analysis, scripting, or automation
