RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior Power BI Administrator/Developer in Bolingbrook, IL. This contract role offers potential for full-time conversion. This role is ideal for someone ready to lead platform-level improvements, not just dashboard development.
Duties:
* Senior Power BI Administrator/Developer will administer and monitor Power BI and Fabric environments for performance, access, and governance
* Manage data assets in OneLake and support Lakehouse architecture within Microsoft Fabric
* Collaborate with platform architects to guide infrastructure and migration strategy
* Own user access, permissions, and workspace governance across the Fabric ecosystem
* Proactively identify and implement platform improvements
* As a Senior Power BI Administrator/Developer, you will develop scalable Power BI reports, models, and dashboards from diverse data sources
* Support cross-functional teams with performance tuning, troubleshooting, and adoption
REQUIREMENTS:
* 5+ years in Power BI administration and development roles, with strong Fabric experience
* Hands-on with OneLake, Lakehouse models, and Fabric-integrated services (e.g., Synapse, Data Factory)
* Experience with Power BI performance monitoring, security configuration, and platform automation
* Strong knowledge of Fabric's architecture and evolution; able to contextualize and guide strategy
* Skilled in DAX, Power Query, Power BI Desktop, M language, and governance best practices
* Excellent communicator with ability to advise technical and business stakeholders
* Microsoft certifications and prior exposure to customer support processes are a plus
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
