Job Title: Oracle FAW Consultant

Location: Remote (US - Availability in CST Time Zone)

Duration: October 2025 - March 2026

Responsibilities:

• Gather and document reporting/analytics requirements from business users.
• Map Oracle ERP Cloud (Finance, SCM, HCM) processes into FAW.
• Configure FAW dashboards, KPIs, metrics, and semantic models.
• Perform data validation and ensure reporting accuracy.
• Support UAT and provide training to end-users.
• Collaborate with technical teams for custom reports and integrations.

Required Skills:

• 3 6+ years as a Business Analyst with ERP/Analytics background.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle FAW, FDI, or OTBI.
• Knowledge of Oracle ERP Cloud modules (Finance/SCM/HCM).
• Strong proficiency in OAC/OBIEE reporting, dashboards, KPIs.
• Understanding of data warehousing, dimensional modeling, ETL/ODI.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Detailed Responsibilities of Oracle FAW BA

1. Requirement Gathering & Analysis
• Work closely with business stakeholders (Finance, SCM, HCM teams) to capture reporting and analytics needs.
• Translate business questions (e.g., revenue by region, headcount attrition, supplier performance) into KPI definitions and reporting requirements.
• Document functional requirements in the form of BRDs, user stories, or acceptance criteria.
2. FAW Solution Design
• Map requirements to FAW subject areas and data models.
• Guide how standard FAW content can be leveraged vs. what requires custom augmentation.
• Recommend KPIs, dashboards, and analytics views to meet business goals.
3. Configuration & Customization
• Work with technical teams to configure FAW dashboards, OTBI reports, OAC workbooks.
• Support data augmentation (adding custom columns/tables) and semantic model extensions (SME) for tailored reporting.
• Validate metadata, hierarchies, and measures for accuracy.
4. Data Validation & Quality Assurance
• Perform data validation between Oracle Fusion Cloud (ERP/SCM/HCM) and FAW reports to ensure accuracy.
• Conduct UAT with business teams, document defects, and ensure sign-off before production release.
5. Stakeholder Communication & Training
• Act as a bridge between business teams and technical/BI developers.
• Conduct demo sessions, workshops, and training for end-users to enable self-service analytics.
• Provide documentation for dashboards, KPIs, and processes.
6. Project Execution & Governance
• Participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives).
• Track project deliverables, timelines, and risks related to analytics delivery.
• Ensure compliance with data security, governance, and reporting standards.
