Process Technician II

; Job Summary: Provides first- and second-level troubleshooting of robots, conveyors, and ASRS equipment and process issues. Works hands-on with manufacturing equipment and activities, closely collaborating with shift technicians and the Planning organization for order fulfillment and inventory consolidation. Uses judgment, experience, and initiative to resolve problems and make recommendations.


; Key Responsibilities:

First point of contact for electrical, controls, and mechanical equipment troubleshooting of production issues in the shipping department

Manage and troubleshoot multiple issues simultaneously using technical principles to drive resolution, prioritizing issues based on overall plant needs

Stay up to date with training from Engineering and technical Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) on new processes, equipment, and procedural changes

Perform all functions to fulfill production orders (both external and internal) and maintain space in inventory through the consolidation process

Check dropped trailers to ensure safety chocks and trailer stabilizers are engaged

Cover shift technician vacations as needed


; Experience:

Experienced in troubleshooting and repair of electrical and pneumatic controls

Experienced in troubleshooting and repair of simple to complex mechanical equipment

Familiarity with conveyor systems

Familiarity with PLC fundamentals and ability to work through logic for troubleshooting

Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Windows for locating files, editing, saving, and transferring data


; Required Skills:

Strong decision-making and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks

Strong people skills

Good process and equipment troubleshooting skills

Mechanically and electrically inclined (aptitude for both)

PC proficient (Excel, Word, SharePoint, pass-down documentation)

Controlled response in emergency situations


; Preferred Skills:

Knowledge of Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (ASRS)

Familiarity with PeopleSoft or SAP

Basic understanding of PLC and/or equipment automation

Forklift certification


; Soft Skills:

Self-starter, self-directed, and able to work independently

Complies with all policies and procedures of the plant

Ability to carry out assignments to completion


; Desired Experience:

3+ years of relevant experience
; Education: Bachelors Degree
