Job Title- BI Data Analyst

The Business Intelligence Data Analyst is expected to work with and support the demand for data and analysis. Responsibilities include data analysis, generating dashboards, data visualizations, reports, and datasets; analyze data to aid in addressing complex business problems.

  • Support internal customers performing a variety of complex queries and analytical tasks.

  • Work closely with internal customers providing data analysis support and instruction.
  • Support cross-functional teams.
  • Test complex queries and audit data extracts to ensure the outcome satisfies requirements.
  • Comply with policies, including but not limited to, defining scope, coding and query standards, quality assurance processes, and data verification policies.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
  • Baccalaureate degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Economics, Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics, or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to use software tools to gather and extract data for review and analysis.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate clearly and succinctly.
  • Strong organization and presentation skills.
  • Excellent planning and execution, with attention to detail; ability to support multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.

PREFERRED:
  • PhD or Master of Business Administration, Computer Science, Economics, Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics.
  • Highly proficient using SQL.
  • Proficient at using report and data visualization platforms.
  • Experience using Stata, SPSS, or other statistical applications.
  • Knowledge of Python, or other programming languages used in data analysis.
  • Experience building ML models.
  • At least two years of relevant technical experience or four years of relevant experience.

Has three or more years of direct work experience using analytics software. Fluency in using data extraction tools. Demonstrated ability to work effectively on a team. Demonstrated ability to lead a team. Demonstrates excellent judgment in selection of presentation methods of data and information. Able to perform complex data analysis then advise customers using results of data analysis. Has commercial awareness as it relates to data and business success. Has the knowledge and skill to perform data analysis, design and build algorithms, reports, and dashboards that meet business requirements. Has a track record of working independently and solving problems creatively, with a sense of ownership and accountability.
