Job Description

The Solution Architect will lead the architecture, integration, and optimization of our clients billing platform, ensuring seamless connectivity with enterprise systems and partner platforms such as BryteIQ, Stargate, SPS, SPC, and RDM. This role provides deep technical leadership to build scalable solutions that enable new revenue streams and reduce operational risk.
Responsibilities
  • Architect and implement integrations between the billing system and platforms like BryteIQ, SBS (Spectrum Payment Services), and EBOX (bank-based subscription payments).
  • Ensure accurate monetization of BryteIQ transactions and future use cases.
  • Design solutions that integrate billing with financial systems (e.g., general ledger) to track revenue and allocate BIQ-specific income.
  • Implement queuing mechanisms (e.g., Kafka) to handle billing system outages and ensure message delivery continuity.
  • Collaborate with architects to evaluate and defend technology decisions and ensure best practices.
  • Define and document APIs for data retrieval and posting across systems.
  • Lead solution development in AWS; all systems are cloud-native.
  • Support SDLC and DevOps processes.
Required Skills
  • Billing System Expertise: Deep understanding of rating, product catalogs, rate plans/charges, account hierarchies, and taxation.
  • Financial System Integration: Experience integrating billing with general ledger and payment systems.
  • AWS Architecture: Strong hands-on experience with AWS; AWS Architect certification preferred.
  • Software Architecture: Proven experience designing scalable, enterprise-grade solutions.
  • Messaging & Queuing Systems: Experience with Kafka or similar technologies.
  • API Design & Integration: Ability to define and document APIs for system interoperability.
  • SDLC & DevOps: Familiarity with development lifecycle and CI/CD practices.
  • Network Architecture: Bonus if candidate has experience in network architecture
