Senior Red Hat Linux Administrator Consultant

RESOURCE QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Bachelor's degree, or postgraduate degree, in engineering, computer science, or related field.
2. Red Hat Certified Systems Administrator (RHCSA) or Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE).
   1. The certification must be issued by Red Hat.

Prefers the resource to have the following qualifications:

1. Ten (10) or more years of experience as a Red Hat system administrator.
2. Ten (10) or more years of experience administering Unix (AIX) IBM pSeries systems.
3. Fifteen (15) or more years of experience in the Information Technology (IT) field.

RESOURCE(S) SKILLS, EXPERIENCE, & CAPABILITIES:

1. Experience with:
   1. Working in a complex networked system environment with strong networking.
   2. Administering Unix (AIX) IBM pSeries systems.
   3. Administering systems including, but not limited to, the applications below:
      1. Oracle WebLogic Servers
      2. Oracle Database Servers
      3. Progress 4GL/Database Servers/OpenEdge
      4. Apache Web Servers
      5. vSphere hosted RHEL Servers.
      6. Rubrik backup systems.
      7. Oracle Database backups.
      8. PeopleSoft
      9. Mobius
      10. Elastic Search
      11. Oracle OBI
      12. CVS (Concurrent Version System)
   4. Red Hat performance tuning.
   5. Load balancing, partitioning, back-up/recovery, and disaster recovery.
   6. Working in an environment that requires 24/7 system availability.
   7. Application development.
   8. Red Hat Support.
   9. Electronic Imaging Support.
2. Ability to:
   1. Work in a team environment.
   2. Communicate effectively with internal and external personnel.
   3. Demonstrate leadership skills.
3. 1. Interface with users and helpdesk for day-to-day support.
   2. Provide Backup/recovery and networking methodologies.
   3. Troubleshoot at the Operating System (OS), database, and application levels.
4. Knowledge of:
   1. Red Hat administration including configuration and tuning.
