JR User Experience Designer

Growing our team of talented designers to provide forward-facing software solutions for our high-profile Retail and Services Point of Sale (POS) product. We are looking for a fellow team player who can hit the ground running and make contributions quickly and enthusiastically on ambitious deadlines.

This role requires a high level of flexibility, critical thinking, collaboration, and creative problem solving. You are passionate about influencing new industry trends and translating that information into compelling products that are centered on accessibility, ease of use, and scalability.

• Knowledge of accessibility laws and guidelines (ie, WCAG, Section 508, GDPR (EU), CCPA (California), PIPEDA (CA), etc) and a desire to exceed those regional standards for all users.
• Experience working in a virtual environment.
• Understanding of design systems and experience maintaining them.
• Familiarity with JIRA and agile methodology.

• 1-3 years experience in UI/UX
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (or equivalent work experience)
• Clean visual design sense that adheres to brand standards and design conventions.

• Ability to balance business objectives and priorities with customer needs.
• Confidence preparing, presenting, and defending design decisions to stakeholders.
• Proficiency with Figma and proactively staying up to date with the rapid release of new features and design enhancements.
• Portfolio of work, demonstrating your skills, design process, and ability to problem solve.
