Palo Alto Engineer
The Opportunity:

A well-designed network is critical to move data and enable finan cia l institutions to achieve their missions, but how can an organization make sure their network will fit their evolving needs? Crafting the right network, with the right equipment and sof tware, requires a combination of te chn ical skill and careful planning. That's why we need you, an experienced network engineer who knows how to develop the exact network finan cia l institutions need.

As a Palo Alto Cloud Engineer on our team, you'll use your experience with implementing and integrating information systems, including routing and switching te chn ologies. You'll develop enterprise-wide infrastructure, troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues, analyze working infrastructures, and increase security, reliability, and availability for mission-critical network systems. Your knowledge of network protocols, equipment, emerging te chn ology, and configurations will come in handy as you optimize client operations and modernization. Using your te chn ical curiosity and knowledge of industry standards, you'll make an impact on national security missions.

You Have:
  • 2+ years of experience designing, implementing, and administering Palo Alto Firewalls
  • 2+ years of experience designing, implementing, and administering Palo Alto SSE solutions
  • 2+ years of experience supporting DoD enterprise architectures
  • Experience with Palo Alto Prisma access
  • Experience with Palo Alto GlobalProtect
  • Experience working with clients and troubleshooting issues
  • Experience working with the key components of Security Service Edge
  • Ability to engage with DoD stakeholders to support enterprise architecture development
  • Secret clearance
  • HS diploma or GED


Nice If You Have:
  • Experience using Office 365 applications and Teams collaboration
  • Experience interacting with tools through RDP, web-based UI, SSH, and CLI
  • Experience with McAfee, Tenable, and other security products
  • Experience with major cloud service providers, such as Azure and AWS
  • Knowledge of cryptography protocols and standards, including TLS, mTLS, hashing algorithms, and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI)
  • Knowledge of federal compliance standards, including NIST 800-53, FIPS, DoD STIG, and FedRAMP
  • Knowledge of Linux or UNIX environments, including navigating and troubleshooting basic OS issues
  • Knowledge of networking protocols
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering
  • DoD 8750 IAT Level II Certification


Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $77,600.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
