Network Engineer

Position Description
We are seeking a Network Engineer to join our CGI team in Salt Lake City, UT!

This is a full-time career opportunity in supporting a leading global client at the client site in Salt Lake City area.

You will be helping with the containment plan supporting the ramp up of the underground major project - working under the Tech Platform team.

Your future duties and responsibilities
How you'll make an impact
Troubleshoot Wi-Fi AP issues
Network capacity and stress
Sizing network device
Support with Maestro Nexus switch setup
Create a spreadsheet to determine how many IP's
Learn how the current network underground is setup and come up with an interim plan between low level design being completed and fiber being patched

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
What you'll bring

3 to 6 years experience in the following:
Networking Basics: IP Protocols, Networking hardware of all kinds
o Cisco and MST switches knowledge would be a plus
Use of network managing and security tools
Being able to work in person onsite
Have worked in heavy industrial/Engineering/Construction industry - strongly preferred
Mostly work from office, but ability to work in construction/hazardous area on need basis
