Required Skills

  • Minimum of ten (10) years of experience with WAS and WAS-Network Deployment (WAS-DN) administration version 7.5 or higher, including installation, configuration, testing, patching, and troubleshooting.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience with WAS and WAS-DN administration version 8.5.5 or higher, including installation, configuration, testing, patching, and troubleshooting.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience with BPM, including installation, configuration, testing, patching, and troubleshooting.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience with WAS/WAS-DN and BPM architecture.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience with deploying Java applications within WAS.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience with WAS/WAS-DN and BPM within an AIX environment.
  • Excellence written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven history of producing technical documentation.
  • WAS/WAS-DN and BPM disaster recovery experience.
  • Experience with load balancing WAS/WAS-DN and BPM and use of WAS Plugins.
  • AIX scripting experience, like Perl and Python.
  • Five (5) years of experience creating infrastructure designs and documentation for large and complex IT solutions
  • Five (5) years of experience managing at least three (3) very large data base projects, both in a mainframe and web environment
  • Three (3) years of experience with technical leadership directly contributing to production software
  • Three (3) years of experience in verbal and written communications with clients and technical staff in English"

Responsibilities This position is responsible for the overall administration of both WAS and BPM for the UCMS environments. This includes but is not limited to the installation, maintenance, testing, patching, and troubleshooting both WAS and BPM. The WAS/BPM administrator is responsible for the deployment of code, documenting the installation and configuration processes, developing deployment checklists for production deployments, ensuring environment availability/stability, and for assisting/mentoring the L&I WAS/BPM administrator, upgrades, and troubleshooting efforts. The position requires a thorough understanding of the components and their dependencies within the application architecture. The position is also responsible for coordinating activities in support of production operation and provides leadership during the investigation of problems, incidents, and outages
